Some people have (a lot) more money than others. Apart from the ability of spending it on expensive things like designer clothing, cars, house, holidays.. today's newspaper brought an over the top-message. "Tom Cruise bought his pregnant girlfriend Katie Holmes an Ultrasound-machine so she can watch the child any time she want". How fucked up can you be. Devices meant for serious business using just for fun. Instead of hiring an ultrasound technician to perform a qualified (unnecessary) examination.. why don't we just do it ourselves. Hasn't she got anything better to do? Bored.. allready?? I would almost assume Tom is going to deliver the baby himself. I can imitate almost any profession.. so now I'm an obstetrician? Idiot!
Oh well, the/a hospital will receive the machine afterwards..

Apparat Organ Quartet.

Sometimes,.. you can feel very stupid. It is well known that Iceland is apart from an interesting country also producing interesting artists. Bjork is well known, Sigur Ròs is becoming huge.. and last week I "discovered" Apparat Organ Quartet.. but way, way to late. They've performed several times on festivals in the passed years in Holland. Only by accident I saw their self-titled CD on "de luisterpaal" and listened to it... and also discovered they were playing that same evening again in Holland. I should have rushed out of the house, jump in the train or car and race to venue to check if there would have been tickets left.. you never know. But I didn't.. but as I wrote earlier.. my back has other plans. After listening to the CD (well actually the online-stream) over and over again I decided to buy the CD. Well, that's quite difficult actually. The CD was released in 2002 (!) and can nowhere be ordered in Holland (online).

How on earth could I have missed these guys for all those years?! They sound like Kraftwerk, Jarre etc. so they should have to been able to draw my attention.. unfortunately.. not otherwise I would have been able to play their CD instead of searching the web for available CD's and MP3's.. meanwhile fortunately www.3voor12.nl has a couple of their concerts as stream online.. so their sound is there while scouting the net.

Situation..

Well, I suppose you could be wondering why I've just posted an old photograph.. There are several things that keep bothering me from getting outdoors to shoot bicycles, girls etc. Prime reasons however are the fact that I'm trying to round up the photographs I shot last weekend at a student-gala. I also had to find a way to get my price-winning slide printable the easy way.. (my mom wants to send it as a christmas-card or something.. but €0,39/print is a little above budget.. so I had it digitalised (I could have done it myself naturally but I haven't got a proper slide/film-scanner.. yet).. and some more of my more memorable slides.

And there's just one other thing that keeps me from strolling around jollyfull.. I'm not that delighted to say, but I've got a hernia.. so strolling isn't that thoughtfull let alone painless. Nevertheless I'm hoping to get out soon..
