M83..

This sounds like a rather awkward title.. but it is fact the "name" of a french band which has been somehow one of my new discoveries. Well offcourse.. the musical "experts" have known them for quite some time but I cannot recall they've had a lot of airplay.. Perhaps I've been very ignorant due to my habit of trying to acquire all music on short notice after discovery. Every site which sells their Cd's are at least very positive about M83..

As usual I attended the free concertfestival in The Hague in the last weekend of June. I don't know what it is but it seems as if I make the most discoveries on this festival. Not just of the musicians on stage but mainly via the recordstores which are having some kind of sale on the market there. And it get's even cheaper over the years .. (!!) Was one my first discoveries there Rammstein's "Sehnsucht" (costed me 12,50 (about 5 euro))last year I discovered Mew via "Frengers" for just under 1 euro. This year I found M83's "Dead cities, red seas & lost ghosts" in the same recordstore for just under 1 euro too. To bad the other CD's of M83 are much more expensive..

The way of discovery can however be tricky.. as I've got several boxes with music I do not like at all.. but hey,.. the artwork is (or) was nice.

EL CID - "Mentor"-party!
