winner local Photography-contest

 


Today I was almost struck by lightning. Why? I won the first prize in the local Photography-contest (sponsored by Ernst&Young) of the Local tourist-office. Cool thing, while it accompanies a page (A3) in the next photo-Calender of Leiden, a cup and.. a small amount of cash so I'll be able to "keep up the good work" ;-). The contest itself was held for the 9th time and apart from earlier topics which was mainly to take "interesting" "unknown" pictures of Leiden this year it was al little harder figuring out what to shoot while the assignment was: "Rembrandt and Leiden" while next year it's the "Rembrandt (van Rijn) year" and Rembrandt grew up in Leiden.

So, buy the calender at our local Tourist-information and you'll have a nice printed copy of a real 'BlacKiePic'.

P.s. some people were surprised the slide was shot with an analog camera. Whoeee,.. analog.. dirty word.
